Location: Speckle Rock Vineyards
Come join us for an evening at Speckle Rock Vineyards as we take a deeper dive into the Rioja Wine Region of Spain. During this elevated experience, you will be tasting several wines from producers that are rare or unavailable for purchase here in the United States. We had these shipped home from Spain during our visit last year.
This session will start with a sparkling wine and include a Jamon Ham Leg and Spanish Cheeses:

Second Wednesday of the Month
Guided by Al Fischer and Julie Peggar, you will learn the ins and outs of wine, demystifying an art form that's more than 8,000 years old.
Your instructors will teach the basics from vineyard to glass, encompassing winemaking, wine tasting, and wine & food pairing.
Guests will taste through 6 wine varietals with Al and Julie, all paired with food items from the BW Kitchen. Guests will leave with a well-rounded knowledge of a variety of wines!
Cost includes taxes and gratuity. Class size is limited.
Tickets are $120. per person, all-inclusive.

How to Taste Wine w/Food and Wine Pairing
Wine Tasting:
During this experience, you’ll take a deep dive into wine tasting and the reasons behind what you see, smell, and taste. You’ll learn about the different aromatics, flavors, and structures that you are perceiving and why these change in each type of wine.
Pairing: Food and Wine
We will take what we just shared and apply that to Food and Wine Interactions. Here you learn how the structure of food and wine affect each other and come away with an understanding of your personal preferences. Enjoy several dishes prepared specifically for this experience.
Experience Two: May 8th, June 12th, or July 10th
Winemaking Techniques and Effects on Style w/Food and Wine Pairing
Wine Making and Wine Styles:
During this experience, you will learn the options available to winemakers and how those affect the style of wine. We will take a deeper look into fermentation, pressing, and aging techniques and how those impact the art of making wine.

We will take what we just shared and apply that to Food and Wine Interactions. Here you learn how the structure of food and wine affect each other and come away with an understanding of your personal preferences. Enjoy several dishes prepared specifically for this experience.

Deep Dive into Harvest w/Food and Wine Pairing
Deep Dive into Harvest:
Come learn about what happens in the vineyard throughout the year. You’ll learn about the decisions made during the growing season and the work that takes place. We will discuss the effects that weather, pests, and diseases cause.
